We are looking at Ephesians 6:10 -19 (one o’ my favorite books )says A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.Look at the words -Be strong! well that’s cool let’s hit the bowflex and that’s covered, what next Lord? no…huh uh…we like to be strong in ourself…we like to be independent…we like to handle things on our own….we like to lean on ourself..we take pride in the fact we can handle what comes up. But look what God is saying.be strong in HIM and his MIGHT. It’s got nothing to do with our own strength. In fact the Word tells us his strength is perfected in our weakness. How badly sometimes we’d like it to read..his strength is perfected in our strength. In other words..God just gives our strong areas a power boost, rev it up a bit. Nope, sorry..we’ve got to submit here and clothe ourself in his strength. see ya in a few!

Yes, if you have ever struggled with picking the right clothes for a day, event, occasion, you can appreciate today’s post.   You won’t end up over or under dressed. You won’t be too cold or hot, you won’t realize that your socks don’t match. You’ll have just what you need for the day. Lets’ see why – Ephesians 6:10 -19 (one o’ my favorite books – you eneded to know ) says   A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.

God has picked out clothes for you … Spiritual clothes! Invisible to you or I on the outside but so very visible in the spirit. Key in on this- Put on ALL – hmmmmm…we can’t pick and chose here or in my case traveling once , you forget to  even pack any socks.  God doesn’t want you partially dressed.  Well if he lays out your clothes- seems pretty simple doesn’t it- he lays ‘em out each day- you put ‘em on…well, let’s take a look at some weaknesses -some traps and it all has to do with that sentence preceding “Put on all”. yeah I was prepared for my journey alright. And I was not the only one If you look around on any given morning you’ll see people like me walking, running , biking, jogging, roller blading -one appeared to be boxing and dancing- a few I have no idea what they were doing …but doing any number of things they felt would get them STRONG, energized, confident and healthy ……..in body AND mind. A nice walk, jog or other exercise does wonders to balance/clear your thinking, relax you and relieve stress.

We are fanatics -yes sometimes obsessed with keeping our daily exercise routine in tact each week. We also take plenty of time in the morning to select the proper attire (okay, for those really prepared, you do it at night.) for what ever the day holds at work or leisure- work around the house. You want to be comfortable, prepared, equipped and able to function-oh yeah, you want to look good too! Let’s face it when you look good, feel good, you are more confident and happy. Is that not true? Our closets and drawers are loaded with clothes and accessories to dress up properly for just about any situation or occasions that may come up. Is that bad? No, not at all….in BALANCE. But…there is another aspect of dressing for the day that is even more important. And…..someone has already picked out the outfit especially for you each day!
